13.9.18

Frankfurt am Main, September 13, 2018-On the occasion of the ceremonial inauguration of the new old town (September 28th-30th, 2018), LED drones will play a symphony for the Frankfurt old town ”. In multimedia drone choreography, lighting play, specially composed music and language passages merge into a tribute to Frankfurt. Together, Peter Feldmann, Mayor of the City of Frankfurt am Main, Thomas Feda, Managing Director of Tourismus+Congress GmbH Frankfurt am Main (TCF) and organizer of the celebrations, as well as Stefan Weil, Managing Director of the design -based Frankfurt creative studio Atelier Markgraph, presented the project as part of one Press conference in front. Mayor Feldmann: “Frankfurt has the constant dialogue between the past and the future. This is also manifested in the city's architecture - only here cloud scratches stand up behind half -timbered facades. The latest example of this is a reconstruction of the old town, which we want to inaugurate with a historically supporting and technically future -oriented staging. "Thomas Feda adds:" The banks of the Main, the adjacent Römerberg and the cathedral are the central locations of Frankfurt's life - then as now. Kings were chosen here, food acted and fixed. With the opening of the new district, more life should move into the middle of the city again. We want to celebrate this spectacularly. ”City of diversity and contrasts: A homage to Frankfurtim narrative center of the“ star images ”stand in addition to outstanding personalities and figures of the city also formative events and Landmarks.Stefan because gives an insight into the creative process:“ Frankfurt is one Place of diversity and contrasts. Dialogue has been lived and celebrated here for centuries. Also in the new old town, traces of this high-contrast city identity can be found everywhere. We use the latest generation of technology for an iconographic performance, which shows this cosmopolitan attitude of Frankfurt in poetic pictures. The city's Main, the city's lifeline, is the perfect stage for this. ”The drones of the drones before the nocturnal mink backdrop are accompanied by the sculptural lighting effects of different colored Sky Beams. The soundtrack of the staging takes up the dialogue idea musically: Sebastian Hohberg and Jan Mayerhofer von Hoerfeld created a merger of classical and electronics for this occasion. Parts of the composition reinterpret the defining baroque composer Georg Philipp Telemann. Telemann also temporarily lived in the old town of Frankfurt. The embedded quotes come from the most famous former old town resident, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe-a glowing advocate of diversity at the time. Planning complexity and a little bit of happiness of this kind have not yet existed in Frankfurt and is also in context worldwide Innovative airspace shows. The conceptually and organizationally demanding project was realized by an international team. The design concept for the "star images" comes from the Frankfurt creative studio Atelier Markgraph, which the staging in collaboration with the light designers from Bright! And implemented the drone experts from Skymagic. A particular challenge was the choreography of the drones: Because the star images that result from their flight position should be recognizable from as many different perspectives as possible. When it storms or rains, the drones have to stay on the ground. But there is also a solution in the event of an event: then a replacement date will be announced at short notice. Supported.Dronehen show: Saturday, September 29, 2018, 9:45 p.m. public dress rehearsal: Friday, September 28, 9:45 p.m.
